Enjoy this itinerary with less touristy places, you will visit places that until now are not well known, traveling through the villages of the Andes and observing wonderful landscapes, as well as archaeological sites of the region, these 3 days of travel will become unforgettable.
ITINERÁRIO
DAY 1: CUSCO – Q’ESWACHACA BRIDGE – KANAMARCA – ESPINAR
6:30 am Pick up from your hotel in our private car and we will drive to the South part, Q’eswachaka Bridge(Inca’s time bridge) 4 hours driving including breaks. During our trips we will see amazing landscapes and 4 lakes, once in Q’eswachaca we will learn about the ancient methods of making the straw rope for the bridge and cross it if you dare! We will enjoy a delicious picnic lunch and then drive to Kanamarca, an archaeological site not very popular but surprising located near the town of Espinar. Overnight in Espinar.
DAY 2: ESPINAR – THREE CANYONS – MAUKALLAQTA – SICUANI
After Breakfast, we will drive to 3 canyons(around 1 hour) and marvel at the natural beauty of the ancient canyon. Close by is the Maukallaqta archaeological site where we will explore the circular buildings for a while, most likely as the only visitors! We will enjoy a picnic lunch by the river, before driving to Sicuani (about 2.5hrs) passing the impressive Lake Langui. Overnight in Sicuani.
DAY 3: SICUANI – RAINBOW MOUNTAIN PALCCOYO – TRES CRUCES
After breakfast, we will leave at 8:00am and drive to Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain (about 2 hours), driving through a narrow valley where you can see many llamas and alpacas. We will walk around this unique mountain range at 4,800m, exploring the natural beauty of the area. We will have a picnic lunch, and then we will go to the town of Paucartambo, going through an archaeological site called NinaMarca, and then up to Tres Cruces (the trip lasts approximately 6 hours) where we will camp and have an early night.
DAY 4: TRES CRUCES – PAUCARTAMBO – CUSCO
We will get up early to see the sunrise in Tres Cruces, where the Andes Mountain Range falls in the Amazon basin. Between May and July, it is common to see optical illusions due to the fog over the jungle, we will take our breakfast and then we will return to Cusco. Alternatively, from here you can continue to the Manu National Park to explore the Amazon rainforest.
NOTE: This 4-day itinerary is available for the months of May, June and July. Out of these months you can make the circuit itinerary of the Andes 3 days.

- Sun cream.
NOTES:
- For clients who are coming from areas of less than 1000 m of altitude, we recommend that you spend at least 2-3 days in Cusco before the tour to acclimatize.
- Layered clothing; the days should be fairly sunny and pleasant (averaging around 20-22 degrees Celsius or 68-71 degrees Fahrenheit), while the nights are quite cold (around 0-3 degrees Celsius or 32-37 degrees Fahrenheit). The weather can change at any time and while it is not rainy season, it is possible that it may rain and be quite windy so a good jacket for rain and wind is a good idea, as are thermals or a down jacket. You can buy woollen scarves, gloves, beanies, etc. here in Peru quite cheaply.
- Please note there are two different Rainbow Mountains to visit, one is the now popular Vinicunca with the iconic rainbow shape, and the other is the lesser known Palcoyo, which has more than one coloured mountain.
